Hepatitis B is a viral infection that affects the liver and can lead to both acute and chronic liver disease. Unlike hepatitis A, which is commonly transmitted through contaminated food or water, the hepatitis B virus is primarily spread through contact with infected bodily fluids, including blood, or through contaminated needles.

COURSE

The vaccination Course Consists of 3 doses:

  • First Dose: 4 Weeks before travel.
  • Second Does: 4 Weeks after the first dose.
  • Third Dose: 5 Months after the second dose.

 

Accelerated Course

  • First Dose: Day 0
  • Second Dose: 7 Days after the first dose
  • ⁠Third Dose: 14 Days after the second dose

Boosters

After completing the full course, a booster dose is generally not required for five years. In certain circumstances, such as potential exposure to the virus, a booster may be recommended.

How it is given?

Injection into the upper arm.

  • Soreness or redness at the injection site
  • Tiredness
